Responsibilities

 

·         Code and/or debug software change requests from the business unit – our software applications are delivered via web portal for internal and client usage.  Work closely with Business Analysts to understand requests upfront, following SDLC process – requirements gathering, coding, unit test, code review to QA. 

 

·         Code in various platforms from classic ASP to C#, even some Delphi 5.0 and VB 6.0.

 

·         Develop using Entity Framework in .NET.  Used Telerik for frontend UI with Javascript and AJAX.

 

·         Use Waterfall and Agile Scrum development methodologies (code and implement new applications, enhance and debug apps post implementation).  Took on Scrum Master role – this role rotates amongst development team each Sprint.

Selected Accomplishments

 

Data/Document Storage

Developed site in ASP.NET/VB on company’s intranet for storage of sensitive client documents.  Site allowed maintenance of these documents; used SQL Server database and stored procedures backend via ADO.  Users able to easily view documents in browser upon clicking and downloading.

 

Web Service

Coded web service in VB.NET for client usage which utilized in-house postal address software.  For security, web service verified customer purchase key using regular expressions.  Web service output standardized address information as XML to the client based on input required to be postal information.  Usage logged on SQL Server.

 

Web Upload

Coded classic ASP site for clients to upload files to the company for processing; incorporated AspUpload.  This allowed clients to upload files through a web interface to the company’s server as an alternative to traditional FTP.  Using SSL technology for client login and password verification, client is given options to upload, rename, and delete files.  User actions logged on SQL Server.

 

Company Home Page and Intranet

Redesigned company’s original HTML web site to a database driven site using classic ASP and SQL Server.  Frontend text stored on SQL Server to be displayed on a single page.  Programmed separate page on the company’s intranet for site’s maintenance.  Used JScript menu for easy navigation on the sites.  Recently added CSS, allowing complete and total control over the hypertext style.
